Medical flight from St. Petersburg to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel
I would like to express our deepest respect and appreciation to Medassis, for helping us transfer our infant son to Israel.
Our son is 2 years old, and suffers from a severe brain disorder, is regularly on respiration and is in the intensive care unit. When we decided to immigrate to Israel from Russia, we looked for a company that could help us transfer our son from St. Petersburg Hospital to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Israel, and we received very positive recommendations on Medassis.
Once we contacted Medassis, we were referred to the Operations Manager Mr. Moshe Grossberger, and immediately felt that we were in good hands. Mr. Grossberger was very compassionate, extremely knowledgeable about our son’s situation, and was available to us every hour of the day, always showing patience and willing to help any way he could. He immediately started to push things forward, and contacted the hospital in St. Petersburg in order to get a complete understanding of our son’s medical situation. After the medical report was passed to Dr. Yaron Naveh, we were immediately provided with an intensive care team, ready to transfer our son to Israel.
From the bottom of our hearts – we want to say thank you to the wonderful medical team: Dr. Alexander Tarbiki, specialist in pediatric intensive care, and to the paramedic Yonni Cohen. When we met the medical flight team we are amazed by the amount of equipment they brought along – it was a real, airborne intensive care unit. During the flight, the team never left my son’s side, and treated him with the utmost care, taking care of all his needs. For this, we thank you – for the exemplar organization, the caring and concern, and the fantastic execution of the flight and bringing our son to Israel.
Medical flight from Odessa to Israel aboard an air ambulance
Our misfortune came without warning. A fire broke out in our Odessa apartment on Wednesday morning, and the entire apartment went up in flames.
We immediately got our family and friends to help us, and were referred to Medassis. Luckily for us, Medassis has close relations with many hospitals, and we received a recommendation for a specific hospital in Israel with a great deal of experience with this type of injury. Medassis quickly passed our medical information along to the hospital and we received a call that the hospital is ready to take our daughter in and treat her. We asked ourselves how we would transfer a young child with this degree of burns, breathing artificially, from Odessa to Israel. The Medassis experts, who specialize in complex medical flights, consulted with the Odessa hospital and the Israeli medical staff, and determined that the safest and quickest way to transfer our daughter would be via air ambulance. At 7pm the same day, the air ambulance landed in Odessa, and a Medassis medical team arrived at the hospital to pick up our daughter.
Their medical staff included two physicians specializing in intensive care, accompanied by an intensive care nurse. They were equipped with plenty of medical equipment, including a special respirator, monitor, medical bags, special medications, advanced sterile bandages, oxygen and liquids. We noticed that the medical staff at the Odessa hospital was shocked by the quality and amount of medical equipment that arrived, as this advanced equipment didn’t even exist in their hospital.
Medical flight to a surgery in germany
Three weeks ago My daughter Tali had to fly to an urgent surgery in Germany. As soon as we got the OK for the flight, Mrs. Avivit came into the picture. She was courteous and very professional and took care of all the smallest details in the flight to Germany and Back. Her professional attitude put us at ease. We felt fortunate to get service from such an amazing lady.
Medical flight from New York to Israel following a severe heart failure
Hi, my name is G.L (name withheld). On September 17th, 2011, I suffered a severe heart failure in New York.
Friends and acquaintances immediately directed me to Mr. Moshe Grossberger of Medassis, a company that from what I understood treats Israeli patients who are currently overseas. As soon as I contacted him, I felt at home. Moshe sent me a Hebrew-speaking representative who connected me to a local New York hospital, where I underwent catheterization.
Throughout the entire treatment and hospitalization process in New York, their assistance center kept in close contact with me. Even after the catheterization, Medassis made all the arrangements required for a successful medical air transfer to Israel, there was even a physician who accompanied me from all the way from New York to Tel Aviv – I really received extraordinary care and treatment throughout the flight.
At first, the physician came to the hospital in New York and examined me. He came with advanced medical equipment specifically for flights. We were first to board the flight in New York, sat in business class, and the physician provided explanations about the plane’s oxygen and the medical equipment. He had me connected to devices specifically brought for me and later on to an oxygen mask.
When we arrived at Ben Gurion Airport, an ambulance was waiting for me by the plane, so I didn’t need to go through the long lines at the airport. We got on the ambulance and made our way to Tel Hashomer Hospital for follow-up examinations. Medassis informed both the hospital and my family about my arrival. The physician escorted me into the hospital’s cardiology ward and transferred my medical report to them. My family was already waiting at the hospital and gave me a very emotional welcome.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Medassis, for the special care I received, for their professional, calm and kind handling of the treatment and medical flight arrangements. I was indeed sick abroad – but I felt at home, in safe hands, thanks to Medassis, who took care of me like I was family.
The Israeli medical team immediately began the procedure of transferring our daughter from the hospital bed to the stretcher bed. This transfer alone took an hour. At around 8pm, we left the Odessa hospital towards the airport. Throughout the journey, I could see that the medical team was treating my child with great dedication, changing her bandages, improving her breathing and monitoring her condition, using the medical equipment they brought along with them. After a 30-minute drive, we arrived at the airport.
Medassis took care of all necessary documents so we wouldn’t need to pass through the regular terminal, and we entered the airport through the rear gate, all the way to the air ambulance that awaited us. The medical team put our daughter on the plane and onto a bed. Inside the plane, the team had her connected to medical equipment and monitors, and we started our journey to Israel. Three hours later, during which our daughter remained under the constant supervision of the medical team, we landed at Ben Gurion Airport.
Medassis arranged for a special ambulance to wait for us there, so we didn’t have to go through the terminal – yet again saving us precious time. Our daughter was immediately transferred to an intensive care unit in the hospital, into the safe hands of the medical personnel.
On behalf my entire family, I would like to thank Medassis from the bottom of my heart for their amazing work. The Medassis team worked around the clock to expedite the necessary arrangements as much as possible in order to save our daughter. Bless you all
